Myron L. Humble
Myron was raised in central Pennsylvania near Olmstead Air Force Base and became fascinated by airplanes. He became an avid reader of adventure stories about ships and airplanes his father was an Aviation Machinist’s mate in the navy in WW2. He started to keep notes of stories that his dreamed up.
He served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1970 and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay and on the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. After service, he studied electronics and worked for GE in Lynchburg, Virginia. He achieved one dream, learning to fly in a J-3 Piper Cub in 1967.
While in Virginia, he came face-to-face with his spiritual emptiness and asked God to come into his life and make him what he wanted him to be. Proverbs 3:56, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths,” became his guide.
This awoke in him a desire to share his faith, and he found that writing was a way for him, an introvert, to share. And when he began to follow Jesus, he fused a Christian theme into his stories.
